1976 | Istoria Campionatului European din Iugoslavia

In 1976, Iugoslavia a primit dreptul de gazduire a Campionatului European. A fost ultimul Euro la care au luat parte doar patru selectionate si ultimul la care gazdele trebuiau sa joace in calificarile competitiei pentru a participa la turneul final. Cehoslovacia a reusit sa o invinga in finala pe Germania de Vest cu ajutorul noii metode de departajare, si anume penalty-urile. Remarcatul Antonin Panenka a decis castigatoarea competitii printr-o scarita nemaivazuta pana atunci, ramasa emblematica pana si in zilele noastre.
