1984 | Istoria Campionatului European din Franţa

Franta a castigat primul sau titlu major acasa in turneu final din 1984, la care capitanul lor, Michel Platini a reusit sa marcheze noua goluri in doar cinci meciuri. De asemenea, formatul s-a schimbat, iar de acum primele doua locuri din grupe merg in semifinala, in loc de doar primul loc. Finala mica a fost eliminata din turneul final.
