2004 | Istoria Campionatului European din Portugalia

Euro 2004, la fel ca in 1992 a produs o surpriza uriasa, si anume Grecia, care s-a calificat inainte doar la un singur Campionat Mondial (1994) si un singur Campionat European (1980). Grecii au reusit sa invinga gazdele in finala cu scorul de 1-0, dupa ce i-au mai batut si in meciul de deschidere al competitiei, printr-un gol marcat de Angelos Charisteas in minutul 57, desi aveau o cota de 150.000 pentru castigarea trofeului.
