2008 | Istoria Campionatului European din Austria şi Elveţia

A fost a doua oara cand un turneu final s-a tinut pe teritoriul a doua tari si prima oara cand s-a oferit noul trofeu, creat de Asprey London. Finala a fost disputata intre Germania si Spania pe stadionul Ernst Happel din Viena. Spania s-a impus impotriva nemtilor cu scorul de 1-0, printr-un gol marcat de Fernando Torres in minutul 33. Acesta a fost primul titlul castigat de ei din 1964. David Villa a incheiat competitia ca golgeter, marcand patru goluri, iar Xavi a fost desemnat jucatorul turneului.
